The Day of Pentecost is an exciting opportunity to help children understand who the Holy Spirit is and why He matters in their everyday lives. Sometimes in children’s ministry it can feel easier to teach about God the Father or Jesus the Son, but the Holy Spirit is equally God and equally important. The Holy Spirit is not just a Bible story character or a mysterious force — He is God’s presence with us, our helper, comforter, guide, teacher, and source of power to live for Jesus. Children are not too young to know, love, and experience the Holy Spirit.
